Customer Service - Cell phone service through Sprint

My phone stopped working after a mandatory download. I went to the store near my house at 6pm, where the tech has always been so helpful and was told that they had made changes and no longer had a tech in every store but only in 3 Kansas City stores. After telling me which ones, I asked him to book me an appointment with a tech. He handed me a confirmation and gave me directions to the store. I went straight there only to find out he had made an appointment at another store that did not have a tech. So I was put on the walkin list and waited over an hour. I was told only 3 stores now have techs and each store only has one tech. Then an agent asked me to sign a document to be placed on the waiting list for the tech at 7:30pm. The store closed at 8pm and she still had six phones to fix so we all waited. She had 4 working at once. It was the policy that if your phone broke/unrepairable and you had an insurance policy, they gave you a replacement phone. No longer. Now they give you a loaner with the instuction that if you damage it you will pay for it and sign that you agree to do so or i cannot give you a phone. Yes they see that I had purchased a 100$ case to prevent damage for my phone but it won't fit the loaner and they do not sell/give out protective cases for the loaner. So at 930pm, I left the store with a POS old phone that will cost me $100 if anything happens. I hate this phone as it is smaller than mine, with different features. My phone as it turns out was simply forced to accept an update from Samsung/ Sprint that killed my phone. Tech suggestion, Sorry that is how the phone companies make their money is to push an upgraded software that destroys your phone. And folks, we have no recourse but to pay again.
